In that role, she contributed to a variety of national quantitative and qualitative survey studies. She holds a BA in psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He graduated from Wausau West High School in 1998 and went on to work with the United States Postal Service. Truman was a caring, considerate man who never hesitated to help others. He enjoyed working on computers and other electronics. He was very knowledgeable of movies and music, and was always quick to quiz family and friends on them.

They enjoyed many happy years together before Betty passed away in Sycamore, IL, in 1978. Upon discharge from the Navy in 1946, he returned to Peoria and finished his high school education. He worked a number of different jobs until he found his fit as a phone company lineman. Harley worked for several different phone companies in central and northern Illinois and central Indiana in different capacities, ultimately retiring as the General Manager of Clay County Rural Telephone Company in Cloverdale, IN. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Blaine was baptized as a Christ Follower at Eagle Brook Church on January 31, 2016 and was a faithful member up until the time he passed. Blaine lived by the motto “Do it right and do it once.” He was a man who worked hard, played hard, and lived life with no regrets. Today, majorities across partisan, demographic, and regional groups say they are following news about the gubernatorial election either very or fairly closely. The shares saying they are following the news very closely is highest among residents in Republican districts (39%), Republicans (30%), whites (29%), and adults with incomes of $40,000 to $79,999 (29%). Older likely voters (27%) are slightly more likely than younger likely voters (21%) to say they are following the news closely. Californians are much more pessimistic about the direction of the country than they are about the direction of the state. Solid majorities of adults (62%) and likely voters (71%) say the United States is going in the wrong direction, and majorities have held this view since September 2021. One in three or fewer adults (33%) and likely voters (25%) think the country is going in the right direction.
Sonja was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Lory and David Larson. A memorial service will be held in Assisi Hall at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, November 5, 2022. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with a service at 10 AM. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brothers Walt and Chuck and grandson John Erik. She is survived by daughters, Kathy Jirovec of Merrill, Wisconsin and Karen Middleswarth of Ely, Iowa ; grandchildren David Jirovec , Becky Galioto , Amanda Halvorson and Nikki Halvorson; great-grandchildren Annie, Sophie, Josiah, and Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lloyd Turbin; sister, Betty Wolff; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Our family wishes to thank Aspirus Hospice and their staff, Dr. Peterson and his staff, Dr. Eilers, Dr. Stycly, Dr. Platta, and Britta Walter, NP for providing exceptional care and compassion. Blaine, and his family, knew they did everything they could and are forever appreciative. After retiring Bill enjoyed dancing with his special friend, Ruth Lyon, playing cards, and watching his grandsons play baseball and watching their jazz concerts at D.C. William J. Frieders Jr. 90 went to by with his Lord on Oct. 1, 2022. Bill was born December 9, 1931, in Rozellville, WI, son of the late William and Elsie Frieders.
His favorite spot was Lake Gordon, in Gordon, WI. He went there to Tuverson’s Resort at least twice every year, despite the 12 hour trip. On days when no one else on the lake could catch a fish, he could find them. He spent many happy hours fly-fishing or casting his beetle-spins, looking for bluegill and crappie. He could fix almost anything, and largely built his own house in Lacon. On May 20, 1950, he married Betty Lawless at St. John’s Catholic Church in Peoria. He and Betty lived in Pekin, Lacon, Dixon, and Sycamore, Illinois as he earned promotions.
